Major Rant: Every day I get multiple emails asking for my images to use commercially - with ZERO intention of paying me. It's not like I'm selling banana's where I source them and have them delivered, I actually have to make these images, find the location, get there for the crack of dawn, pay for the hotels, spent half an hour editing, the cost of copyrighting and software and all the wear and tear involved. They wouldn't walk into a shop and ask the shopkeeper for a banana for nothing. I'm sure half of these emails are spam, blasted out to every photographer with pictures they like in hopes that one silly fool agrees to it. Those that do that are the real amateurs, they kill it for themselves and for those of us who do this for a living. You wont get exposure from that, exposure comes from socially interacting on sites like this.

Behind me was a pretty spectacular blue leaded glass window, which cast against the right wall. There's a small entrance fee for the cathedral, but it's well worth it and as a bonus they made no issue about tripod use. Chester cathedral is a Grade I listed building. The cathedral, typical of English cathedrals in having been modified many times, dates from between 1093 and the early 16th century, although the site itself may have been used for Christian worship since Roman times. All the major styles of English medieval architecture, from Norman to Perpendicular, are represented in the present building.
